Industrial, compact and connected.

The GALEO Universal Edge Device is a compact DIN-rail industrial gateway designed to run the COMPAS energy monitoring and control software on a Raspberry Pi platform.

It enables secure, real-time data acquisition and remote control of industrial equipment.

The GALEO supports several physical interfaces (RS485, RS232, CAN, USB, Ethernet) as well as standard industrial protocols (ModBus, CANopen, SNMP, REST) to connect and monitor assets.

COMPAS offers the possibility to collect data from industrial equipment’s such as solar inverters, converters, energy-meters, sensors, batteries, relays... In addition to collecting data, our software enables to control the equipment like changing parameters or update configuration. Real-time data visualization is available on the web interface for a short-time (defined by configuration) and reports can be defined to export data.

COMPAS can also be used to define alarms or events to inform the user if a piece of equipment signals an error, or if a piece of equipment/sensor is disconnected or faulty.

FAQ

An edge device is a piece of hardware deployed at the network's edge, close to the physical equipment it monitors or controls, that performs local data acquisition, processing, and decision-making rather than forwarding raw data to a central server or cloud platform for processing.

The GALEO is a universal edge gateway built on a Raspberry Pi platform, designed to interface with any connected equipment and run Alpha Innovations' COMPAS supervision and control software natively.

The GALEO offers multiple physical interfaces, including RS485, RS232, CAN, USB, and Ethernet, allowing it to connect to a wide variety of industrial equipment.

The GALEO supports multiple industrial protocols, including Modbus, CANopen, SNMP, and REST.
