Monitoring Control Unit for the ACE306 Power Shelf

The MCU30110M6 is a microcontroller-based monitoring system intended for use in industrial infrastructures (including the railway sector) with all Alpha Innovations 110V, 3kW rectifier versions, or any signal-compatible rectifier. It allows monitoring and controlling of up to 6 rectifiers, one battery string, and an external power distribution within the 3U power shelf ACE306.

The controller is a pluggable, hot-swappable unit that fits into the 3U sub-rack alongside the rectifier modules. The unit is COMPAS platform-ready, allowing advanced monitoring via Ethernet or USB.

Moreover, it allows interoperability with peripherals and equipment connected on the CAN bus, such as cabinet security and environmental management systems.

Highlights

  • Monitors up to 6 rectifiers — plus one battery string and external power distribution, in a single 3U ACE306 shelf
  • Hot-pluggable, hot-swappable — fits into the ACE306 rack alongside rectifier CAR30100TP-A modules, no downtime for replacement
  • COMPAS platform-ready — advanced monitoring via Ethernet and USB, with SNMP, XML, Web Server, and FTP support
  • CAN bus interoperability — connects to cabinet security and environmental management peripherals
  • Comprehensive battery management — temperature compensation, charge current limiting, capacity testing, low-voltage disconnection
  • Industrial and railway-grade — compliant with EN50121-4 (with appropriate protections when cabinets are not coupled side by side)

FAQ

The MCU30110M6 is a monitoring and control unit for the ACE306 power shelf, managing up to 6 rectifiers, one battery string, and external power distribution in industrial and railway infrastructure.

Yes. It's a pluggable, hot-swappable unit that fits into the ACE306's 3U sub-rack alongside the rectifier modules, so it can be replaced without interrupting operation.

It's COMPAS platform-ready, supporting advanced remote monitoring via Ethernet (SNMP, XML, Web Server, FTP) and USB, and can interoperate with CAN bus-connected peripherals such as cabinet security and environmental management systems.

Yes. It's compliant with EN50121-4 (with appropriate cable protections when cabinets are not installed side by side), consistent with the ACE306/CAR30100TP-A platform's broader rail certification.
