Description

The CAPTIN is a total solution designed specifically for use in access network outdoor cabinets and shelters, integrating power supply and management, environmental management, access control and more. Designed in close cooperation with market leading access network operators, it combines redundant power back-up with almost unlimited capabilities for monitoring and control of infrastructure all in a single chassis. Remote communication over IP is provided without the need for any proprietary application or software.
 
 The integration and optimization of site, security and energy management functions into a single power system brings significant savings in terms of module optimization and cabinet cabling. Furthermore, the compact size of the system (266mm deep x 19’’/ETSI wide x 2U (88mm) high) allows a reduction of overall cabinet size when compared to earlier solutions. The modular construction enables progressive investment by installing optional modules in the field at any time.
 
 Reducing the OPEX of our customers is a major objective in the design of Alpha Innovations solutions. Remote monitoring and control of all variables provides advanced knowledge of system status reducing the occurrences of unnecessary site visits. The capabilities of the CAPTIN system far exceed this, supporting additional functions such as statistical data recording and analysis, energy consumption reduction and automatic testing routines - all aimed at reducing network operating expenses.
 
 The integral control module features SNMP and XML standard open architecture. IP based services enable fast and easy transmission of information directly to the appropriate people (security, power, access, etc) as required by the operational organisation of the network.
 
This solution can be configured to support NiMh batteries from ARTS Energy.
